From a practical point of view, Norwich City’s 4-1 defeat to Aston Villa at the weekend was quite damaging to their season. The two teams went into the game at Villa Park level on points, and in a season that has been usually tight at the bottom of the table, beating the teams around you will likely prove more important than ever.
