Clint Dempsey is one of the flagship players for American football, having spent five years in the Premier League at Craven Cottage with Fulham.
The attacking midfielder’s stock has risen to such an extent that the USA international was in demand from a number of clubs, including Arsenal and Liverpool, before Tottenham secured his services for a fee in excess of £5 million.
Dempsey’s goal scoring record is very impressive, having scored 50 Premier League goals for Fulham in less than 200 appearances, in addition to having a strike rate of around one in three for his country.
Clint looks set to earn more than 100 caps for the USA and he should still have a few years left in the top flight of English football.
