Ajax midfielder Christian Eriksen has admitted that he would relish the chance to play in the Premier League.

The Danish playmaker has been linked with potential moves to Liverpool,  and Tottenham after a series of impressive displays in the Eredivisie.

The 20-year-old’s club have always maintained that he is not for sale at any price, but the player has confessed that he is looking to move on:

“I think that my future lies in England, Italy or Spain.” He is quoted by Gazzetta Dello Sport.

“These are the competitions that I like.”

He did however hint that a January move is doubtful:

“I do not know what I will do in a few months’ time yet, but I want to leave my mark before moving on.”

It’s unlikely that he will leave for a minimal fee, with his employers believed to be to demanding in excess of £20m for his services.

Eriksen has become a key part of the Ajax set-up since joining the club as a youth player from Odense.

He has made over 90 appearances for the Amserdam ArenA-based club, winning two league titles.

His performances have also made him a major component in the Danish national team, for whom he has won 30 caps.
