Shalke midfielder Julian Draxler has opened the door to a potential Premier League switch in the future, alerting the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal, reports the Daily Star.

The German side are adament the young midfielder will be going nowhere, stating last week than any offers will be flatly rejected, but Draxler himself has admitted he is interested by a potential move abroad.

The 19-year-old has committed himself to another season with the German outfit, although he has confessed that he doesn’t know where he will end up within a year’s time.

“I’ve still got to work a lot on myself and improve,” he said.”I’m staying here because I see the chance of playing frequently.

“I’m going to try to do that as much as possible and then we can reconsider in the new year.”It appears his most likely destination will be either England or Spain, with the player revealing his club have rejected offers from clubs in both countries already this summer.

“I don’t want to name any clubs but the countries are correct,” he added.

“And I don’t think any country but these two would make sense for me anyhow.”

Draxler proved one of Shalke’s best performers last season, while also becoming the youngest player to reach 50 top flight appearances in the club’s history.
