Yohan Cabaye is thought to be reconsidering a potential move to Paris Saint-Germain, which has opened the door for Arsenal and Manchester United to up their pursuit of the Newcastle star, according to reports from The Metro.

The French playmaker was expected to seal a switch to the Ligue 1 champions before the end of the month, with manager Laurent Blanc believed to have targeted the Magpies ace.

Cabaye himself was also said to be keen on the move, however he is thought to have changed his mind in recent days.

The 28-year-old is believed to hold concerns as to how often he can expect to play at the Parc des Princes, with the World Cup looming.

PSG possess a wealth of midfield talent, which could see Cabaye struggle for pitch time – something he is guaranteed at Newcastle.

This has left the door ajar for United and Arsenal, who are both said to be interested.

The Gunners failed with a summer swoop for the silky passer, but it is thought that Arsene Wenger has remained keen on his compatriot.

David Moyes’ side may also move, with more signings expected to follow Juan Mata to the club from Chelsea.
