Arsenal are looking at Calum Chambers as a replacement to Bacary Sagna this summer, Daily Mail reports.
Southampton have a reputation for producing young talent and Chambers is one of the latest to come out of the Saints’ academy.
The 19-year-old has made 21 appearances for the first-team and has attracted the interest of the Gunners’ scouting team.
They see the English full-back as a long-term successor to Bacary Sagna, who has been Arsenal’s first choice right-back since 2007.
The French international is out of contract this summer but has not signed a new deal in order to stay at the Emirates.
Gunner boss Arsene Wenger has made a third – and final – offer to Sagna, but sources suggest the player is still unsatisfied.
Manchester City and French side Monaco have been keen on the 31-year-old’s services, where he’ll make a fine addition in strengthening both teams.
