Borussia Dortmund’s current in-form winger, 25-year-old Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, has been a big hit at the Signal Iduna Park ever since the Gabonese international first arrived in Germany. As a player that suitably fits in alongside the style of football favoured by Jurgen Klopp, the high-flying Bundesliga star looks all set to become one of his generation’s potentially most exciting players over the next few seasons.

Whether it be through his seemingly endless amount of confidence when running at opposing defenders, the attacker’s cool, yet deadly nature in the final third, or just for his unique image and somewhat memorable hair style – Aubameyang remains a player who has successfully captivated the attention of those within the broader European footballing community with a series of impressive performances.

In light of Arsenal’s reported interest in the Dortmund star, which has so far managed to raise its head pretty frequently in the past few transfer windows, just how well would the no. 17 suit playing under Arsene Wenger – and maybe more importantly – to what extent would Jurgen Klopp ever be likely to give the go-ahead on such a dramatic deal?

With this transfer saga in mind, one thing can be taken as an almost nailed on guarantee; Aubameyang would not only manage to keep up with their increased level of competition and physicality of the Premier League, but he would also likely become one of the most exciting stars on these shores should the French-born attacker eventually decide to move on.

The flying Dortmund star simply has all the talents necessary to make it in English football – he is fast, direct, and seemingly knows how to efficiently put the ball in the back of the net. 10 goals in 2014/15 is certainly no mean feat for a player experiencing a publicly difficult league campaign with his current employers.

Aubameyang has in-fact been a big part of Dortmund’s recent domestic revival however, contributing effectively for Jurgen Klopp with his goal-scoring ability as well as his assists. Arsenal would therefore prove to be a promising next destination for the Bundesliga talent, who alongside the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Theo Walcott, could simply turn out to be the perfect addition for Arsene Wenger in the Frenchman's attempts to see out his Emirates career on a high.

The Premier League would seemingly suit Aubameyang down to the ground then, but as Dortmund and Jurgen Klopp certainly remain great admirers of the talented winger, a quick-fire departure from his current club would seem unlikely to say the least. The Gabonese international has been a vital cog in his team’s progression back up the Bundesliga this season, and with all-important Champions League football now back on the horizon for the German outfit, the 25-year-old certainly has his a lot on his plate even at this current stage.

A potential Arsenal move may admittedly be the cause of great interest for the Dortmund man nevertheless – yet this simply doesn’t mean that that his touted move away from the Bundesliga is in any way imminent. If Aubameyang were to leave now, it would largely be under a cloud of unfinished business – and as Borussia Dortmund gave the African star his opportunity to prove himself on the very highest stage – the player himself his somewhat indebted to Jurgen Klopp and the faith that has been shown in him by the club.

That said, if BVB dramatically fail to qualify for the Champions League next season, the future of this talent will undoubtedly be thrown into a great deal more doubt than the topic currently demands.

Coupled with the fact that Dortmund are reportedly asking for a fee close to £30million for their rapidly rising star however, and the aforementioned Arsenal interest seems fleeting at best. The Gunners could simply get a great deal more reliability for their money this summer - as the deal for Alexis Sanchez has clearly outlined for Arsene Wenger throughout the course of this season.

While Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang may one day end up in the Premier League when his time in Germany comes to its natural conclusion, reports linking the Borussia Dortmund star with a summer move to the Emirates likely remain no more than loose talk and sensationalised transfer speculation designed to heighten the overall drama and hype of the Premier League.

As anything can happen in today’s current climate however, all possibility remains open for Aubameyang in the not so distant future.
