Arsenal are close to signing Real Madrid glovesman Iker Casillas, according to Metro.

The 33-year-old Spain international has been told he can leave the Bernabeu in the coming days or face being the club’s third choice stopper next season.

And it is believed the Gunners have offered him a ‘too-good-to-turn-down’ five year deal worth around £100,000-a-week to end his career with them in the Premier League.

Casillas is now in the process of having his Los Blancos contract terminated so that he can sign for the North London side as a free agent.

However, the deal will no doubt have Arsenal fans questions the reasons behind paying an ageing keeper so much instead of handing such wages to a player in a position that needs strengthening.

i think he will be a great signing .just about the best keeper in the world alitle older but not really for a keeper.
szcezeny and ospina ,if it ever happens ,were told it is ,will doubt learn from him and each other .look at the world cup where different keepers were used for different games . every team will have three and more keepers, its just we will have three exeptional keepers .they could rotate or play in different competitions .however they work it out what a great free signing and coup this will be and what a nice problem to have ..
