Arsenal fans have grown accustomed to seeing their favourite players move to direct Premier League rivals. Whether it’s Samir Nasri, Robin van Persie, or Emmanuel Adebayor, it’s fair to say that few are well-received upon their returns to the Emirates Stadium.

Well the prospect of Cesc Fabregas being cast under the same umbrella of hatred is growing ever closer, as rumours emerge that Chelsea are first in line to snap up his signature from Barcelona.

The former Arsenal captain left the Emirates to rejoin his boyhood club in 2011, but he departed with good grace from the majority of the Arsenal fans. However, if he were to return to the Premier League anywhere other than back to his old stomping ground, Gooners don’t look set to give him the type of welcome he would be hoping for.

Here are some rather upset Arsenal fans:

@ArsenalGuvnor ,come on Wenger stop your old fashioned tricks and bring back Fabregas to the Emirates cause the worst thing will be seeing him play for a disrespectful Mourinho at Chelsea.I just cannot read that he has agreed personal terms otherwise if the deal is done ,I may end up killing myself. Please Cesc for the sake of being a legend just do not sign for Chelsea ,just come back to North London where you are loved most

with you mate ………fabregas is the man for midfield control………lets face it cazorla is not as accurate as fabregas……..ozil

mostly goes wide ……… cant compare wilshere to fab4-2regas for sure……..in terms of accuracy……fabregas can be the connect

between wide players & the strikers linking all of them well ………so prefer a 4-3-1-2 ………midfield of one arriving defensive

player, ramsey, fabregas in the 3 ……….then ozil ……then one arriving striker & another pacy forward (walcott or chamberlain)

………with wilshere, cazorla, arteta, flamini on the bench ……..we could have back up for all positions ……..we have giroud & podolski as back up for striker position too ……..hows that for depth

whats wrong with u wenger…….we are guaranteed atleast 2 cup success with cesc…….just remember how many arsenal fans would love to see cesc play every weekend grinding chances for the players around, initiates the attack when the chips are down, scores goals himself, tracks back well ……if arsenal dont complete a treble after rejecting cesc. ………it would be another failure for wenger…….might have a soft corner for chelsea then…….tell u jose is one smart lad if he pulls this off ……why wenger prefers these suicidal missions??

I think chelsea don’t need him, we have Oscar , and we can do better….I hope he goes to Munich, great player but not for us.

I’d commit suicide if he fabregas went to any other Premier League club let alone Chelsea. I would love to see him back as a gooner but sadly I don’t think this will happen.
