Arsene Wenger is considering a move for £8million rated striker Josip Drmic, after the Nuremburg star admitted it would be a ‘dream’ to play for Arsenal, according to the Daily Mail.

The Gunners are already planning for next season with Wenger at the helm, and an £8million move for the striker is expected in the summer.

However, sources close to the Arsenal boss claim he is still undecided over his future at the club, and is set to make a decision at the end of the season.

Reports from Germany claim Drmic has already agreed upon a move to the Emirates, and that he and his family have already started house hunting in London.

But Drmic told Bild: “At the moment, I’m single. There is no one house-hunting in London.

“What will happen in the future, I don’t know. Any boy dreams about playing for Arsenal.”

Wenger has come under fire in recent weeks, after three Premier League games without a win ended any hopes of a title challenge.

But the Gunners boss rounded on his critics following a second half fight back against Manchester City, which saw them claim a 1-1 draw.

“We were nervy at the start after what happened last week but you could see the team were ready for a fight and we controlled the second half. We could have won, but it was a game of quality between two good teams,” Wenger said.

“We are in the semi-final of the FA Cup and knocked out Liverpool, Everton and Tottenham to get there.

“In Europe, we lost to Bayern Munich with 10 men and drew 1-1 at Bayern – you don’t do that if you are terrible.”
