Ruddy was one of Norwich’s best performers last season but failed to prevent the Canaries slipping back in to the Championship.
But Arsene Wenger is considering giving the England stopper a Premier League lifeline with a £6million move this summer.
Wenger is in the marker for a new understudy to Wojciech Szczesny after Lukasz Fabianski revealed he would be leaving for more first-team opportunities in July.
And Ruddy’s weath of Premier League experience is expected to sway Wenger’s in to bringing him to the Emirates, instead of other Cardiff’s David Marshall and Reading’s Alex McCarthy, who the Gunners have also been linked with.
Ruddy narrowly missed out on a place in Roy Hodgson’s England team for the World Cup in Brazil this summer and feels he needs to be playing in the Premier League to keep his international career alive.
