Thousands of Arsenal fans lined the streets of North London yesterday to celebrate the Gunners’ FA Cup triumph, ending a well publicised nine year trophy drought.
Beginning at the Emirates Stadium, the open-top bus gave many supporters the opportunity to get a glimpse of the silverware.
However, one Arsenal player particularly enjoyed the celebrations.
Thanks to all the Gooners out there who made it to the Parade today…. Have to say, one of the best days of my Life! #AFC

When given the microphone, Jack Wilshere wasted no time in leading the raucous crowd in chants against rivals Tottenham Hotspur. It was an actio that endeared the midfielder further to many Arsenal supporters.
Wilshere and the tottenham chant might cause friction with spurs players at the World Cup. Good thing none of them have been selected.

Calling for Wilshere to be out the England squad for today’s comments? Do one. Spurs players would mock us if they ever manage to win summat

Hahaha Wilshere and Szczesny mocking spurs at the parade, lads

Spurs fans calling wilshere unclassy is a bit hypocritical as supporting spurs is just about the most unclassy thing possible

Imagine thinking Wilshere mugging Spurs off in front of thousands of gooner isn’t the GOAT moment.
— William (@LittleWillAFC) May 18, 2014
Predictably though, Wilshere’s actions drew the ire of many Tottenham supporters on Twitter.
A chance to thank Arsenal fans and Jack Wilshere chants about Spurs. Nice to know we’re always on his mind.

LOL @ Jack Wilshere. First pot in nearly a decade & can still only harp on about Spurs.

Wilshere singing anti-Spurs songs on their bus tour. We really don’t care about you enough to care mate. One way traffic really. #ArsenalWho

Jack Wilshere, classless. Biggest achievement of his career and all he can think about is Spurs.
— Fred (@frednewmann) May 18, 2014
Wilshere mocked Spurs on the bus? So what? I’d be more bothered if it was a player with discernible talent & an untainted personal life.

Unless the midfielder does something memorable for his country this summer, his next visit to White Hart Lane could be more than a little hostile.
