Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has spoken about how painful it was to lose to Blackburn Rovers in FA Cup yesterday and he understands the pressure he is now under.
The Gunners were beaten 1-0 at home to Championship side Blackburn thanks to a second half Colin Kazim Richards strike and now face Bayern Munich on Tuesday night in the Champions League last 16.
Many felt that the FA Cup was a great chance for Arsenal to end their long run without a trophy but now the Champions League is their only hope this season.
Wenger fielded a weakened Arsenal side for the visit of the Championship club and was made to pay after a poor performance from the home side.
The defeat was met with a chorus of boo’s at the final whistle and yet more Arsenal fans questioning how long Wenger has got left to bring the long awaited trophy to North London.
“It is very painful and disappointing to lose a game like that. It is now important to focus on the next game,” Wenger told Sky Sports.
“We were not good enough to win today. It’s as simple as that.”
