Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger appears to be losing his patience with winger Theo Walcott as the player is yet to sign a contract extension at the club.

Walcott’s future has been in doubt since the summer and Wenger left the England man out of his side on many occasions earlier in the season despite Walcott being fully fit and raring to go.

The pacey wingers’ current deal expires in the summer and plenty of news sources have claimed that he could leave the Arsenal in January as a new contract has still not been tied up.

However, it seems Arsenal have now offered Walcott a new deal and the decision is firmly with the player.

Wenger showed his frustration yesterday by claiming that he has told the player exactly what he needs to do, but yet a decision has still not been made.

"We have not made any progress but I am honestly frustrated about it,” Wenger told talkSPORT.

“It is clear with the player and he knows what I want. He has to make up his mind.

"We have been in negotiations for a long time and we have not been late in our re-negotiations with him and we always try to extend contracts very early."

Walcott is a major doubt for this weekend’s game at home to West Brom through injury, but it is clear that he is still a massive part of Wenger’s plans.
