According to reports from Spanish publication Sport, Barcelona are targeting Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin.

The Spaniard has established himself as one of the most exciting young right-backs in Europe since becoming a Gunners regular and is now firmly Arsene Wenger's first choice of No.2.

But having risen through the ranks at their famous La Masia academy set-up before moving to the Emirates Stadium in 2011, the 21-year-old may be unable to resist the illustrious calls from Barcelona.

And there's an interesting relationship between Arsenal and Barca; sharing a devotion to technically-demanding attacking football, a number of players have swapped one club for the other in recent years - including the likes of Emmanuel Petit, Thierry Henry, Alexis Sanchez, Aleksandar Hleb and Cesc Fabregas.

Despite his prior association with fierce rivals Real Madrid, there's no doubt Mesut Ozil suits Barcelona's style of play. Indeed, he's a creator of the highest order - arguably the best playmaker in the world - and would almost certainly flourish even more in a team containing the likes of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez. Arsenal are yet to extend the German World Cup winner's contract past 2018, which gives the Nou Camp outfit a pretty good chance of prising him away next summer.

Arsenal have made a habit of poaching Barcelona's most promising youngsters so perhaps it's time the Catalans did the same. In that regard, it's hard to look past Alex Iwobi, who has enjoyed a fantastic start to the season with three assists in as many Premier League appearances. The 20-year-old isn't of the usual Barcelona template as a stocky wide-forward, but that's exactly what could make him such a unique asset in La Liga if utilised in the right way.
