The agent of Wolfsburg starlet Maximilian Arnold has quashed rumours that his client is set to move to Arsenal by insisting that he’s happy where he is.
The Gunners have been linked with the Germany U-21 star in recent days, with Arsene Wenger thought to be upping his transfer plans ahead of the summer.
Arnold has been in excellent form in the Bundesliga this term, emerging as one of his club’s first-team stars with six goals in 14 outings.
This has led to rumours of a move, with a number of top clubs scouting the 19-year-old.
But his agent, Karl Herzog, says that the attacking midfielder is happy at Wolfsburg, and that he’s not looking to move on:
“Max is with Wolfsburg and he is doing fine.” He is quoted by The Express.
“He definitely enjoys all the qualities of the club and they know all of his qualities.”
Claims that he has a release clause in his contract have also been denied by Wolfsburg.
Arnold is expected to step up to the senior German squad in the coming years after representing his nation from U-16 level up to U-21.
