Arsene Wenger has been quick to deny claims that Arsenal are chasing after AC Milan star Mario Balotelli this summer:
Which is incredibly surprising because, of all the strikers potentially available to the Gunners in the current window, the Italy international is one of a rare few who can justifiably claim world-class status.
Of course, the former Manchester City badboy’s ability to be a disruptive influence is well-known:
But his quality is equally undoubted, having netted 30 times in 54 appearances since joining the San Siro outfit in January 2013. He’s got the capability to be a real match-winner too, this wonder-goal being a classic example:
Furthermore, despite Wenger’s apparent lack of interest this summer, Milan’s valuation of Balotelli appears to be dropping at an incredible rate:
