Nicklas Bendtner is far from a bad striker. He’s just a bit misunderstood.
But for all the troubles the Dane has faced at club level, he’s been consistently very good for Denmark. During the international break, he scored twice against Italy, proving that somewhere in there is a forward capable of making a difference on the big stage. It’s just a case of getting the best out of him each week.
He was supposed to have left Arsenal this summer, and had it not been for his wage demands, he would likely be playing somewhere else. But the continuation (or revisiting) of the Arsenal chapter in his career isn’t to be a long affair. Provided the club secure another forward, he will more than likely be off in January.
