Following David Ospina's 'phantom save' yesterday evening to hand Swansea City a 1-0 win via the declaration of goal-line technology, Sky Sports pundits Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher are adamant Arsenal need to sign a top class goalkeeper this summer.

The only problem being that easily the best goalie on the market in the coming window, Chelsea's Petr Cech, will most likely be barred from joining a direct divisional rival.

Indeed, the Czech international is indisputably one of the greatest goalkeepers in Premier League history, boasting four league titles, the 2012 Champions League title and 332 league outings as the Blues' No.1, and at 32 years of age is still firmly within his goalkeeping prime.

Despite his intentions to leave Stamford Bridge this summer, however, Jose Mourinho has already revealed his reluctance to sell Cech to another English club - as reported by The Guardian last week.

But fear not Gunners fans, for Football Fancast is here to help. Using our god-given powers of transfer know-how, we've listed FOUR Cech alternatives Arsenal could turn to this summer...

ASMIR BEGOVIC

In terms of goalkeepers available this summer with Premier League-proven pedigree, Asmir Begovic tops the list.

He's shown a remarkable consistency as Stoke City's No.1 over the last five seasons, in that time winning the club's Young Player of the Year, Player of the Year, Players' Player of the Year (twice) and Supporters' Club Player of the Year awards - so there's no doubting how highly the 6 foot 6 shot stopper is regarded at the Britannia.

With just a year remaining on his Potters contract and discussions over a new deal yet to get underway, Stoke could be forced to cash in on the Bosnian international this summer.

In fact, manager Mark Hughes made the bold decision to drop the 27 year-old from Stoke's matchday squad to face Swansea City two weekends ago in favour of prodigious understudy Jack Butland - suggesting they could already be preparing for life without him.

The Daily Star rate Begovic at around £10million, but claim Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United are all considering summer bids for the former Portsmouth youngster.

IKER CASILLAS

It seems like Real Madrid's Iker Casillas is linked with a move to Arsenal during virtually every transfer window, but if his long-anticipated move to north London ever comes into fruition it will almost certainly be this summer.

The Bernabeu veteran isn't quite the ever-dependable St. Iker of old, but at this point he's one of the most decorated 'keepers of his generation, boasting five La Liga titles and three Champions League titles with Los Blancos alongside two European Championships and a World Cup with the Spanish national team.

And as previously mentioned, his status as the European champions' No.1 is now in serious jeopardy after his expletive rant at the heckling Real Madrid fans was caught on camera and translated for the world by a lip-reader.

The 33 year-old still has two terms left on his Bernabeu contract and according to Mirror Football wants to stay in the Spanish capital. But amid rumours Carlo Ancelotti's side are targeting Manchester United's David De Gea, Casillas' recent actions could serve as the catalyst for a goalkeeping switcheroo.

FRASER FORSTER

We've only seen one campaign's worth of impressive form from Fraser Foster in the Premier League.

But when combining that with his Champions League exploits for Celtic - particularly his continuous heroics against Barcelona - and the sheer fortitude of his 6 foot 7 frame, the 27 year-old has the potential to become one of the Premiership's top goalkeepers over the course of the next few years.

He's already rivalling Joe Hart's status as England's No.1 and has passed the ultimate test of any top class goalkeeper this term - pulling off the miraculous when Southampton need him most, despite undergoing large periods of matches with little, if any, involvement.

The Three Lions understudy has undoubtedly been a huge factor in the Saints claiming the second-healthiest goals conceded column in the division this term and in my opinion he's probably ready to test himself at a higher level.

But having signed him only last summer in a £10million deal, Ronald Koeman's side will expect an incredible mark up if they're to part with Forster in the coming transfer window.

SAMIR HANDANOVIC

Samir Handanovic has easily been the best goalkeeper in Serie A this season and looks set to claim a third spot in the division's official Team of the Year, after keeping eleven clean sheets and making 71 saves in his 34 league outings for Inter Milan.

He also lays claim to the rather incredible feat of saving six consecutive penalties in the Italian top flight.

The 30 year-old boasts considerable experience at the top end of the game too, with 35 appearances in continental competitions and 75 caps for Slovenia under his belt already.

And although Nerazzurri will want to keep hold of Handanovic this summer, he's yet to renew his San Siro contract past the end of next season.

That could force Roberto Mancini's side to sell, with The Metro claiming he's valued around the £16million mark.
