Saturday was quite the day to remember for the 89,263 football fans at Wembley Stadium, as Arsenal claimed the club’s record 12th FA Cup trophy in an emphatic 4-0 victory over Aston Villa.

It was the Gunners’ sixth FA Cup title under Arsene Wenger, who has now cemented his place as one of the tournament’s top managers, tied with Villa’s George Ramsay.

But for those of us not lucky enough to watch the game in person, social media will remain a reliable archive of this historic day, even if Villa fans would rather forget it.

Because once something is on the Internet, it’s there forever (just ask Ashley Cole).

Some crazy predictions were made...

Once the game started, though, it was all business...

Shay Given did this, and the game looked like it was off to a good start...

But then Theo Walcott opened the floodgates for Arsenal...

Villa fans still had hope at halftime, but Alexis Sanchez had other ideas...

From there, it was pretty one-sided...

There were some questionable decisions made by the referee...

In the end, though, the winner was clear...

Or maybe it was all part of a bigger plan?

Well, there’s always next year...
