Olivier Giroud has progressed this season at Arsenal. There is no question of that. With a return of 22 goals in all competitions, and a handful of assists to boot, it would be fair to say that the Frenchman has performed well for the Gunners during the 2013-14 campaign.
But it often seems with Giroud that you have to take the bad with the good. One minute he produces a piece of brilliance – the goal at home versus West Ham – and the next his touch is letting him down and he’s rolling around on the floor.
Well the Frenchman once more displayed his talent, bagging a brace for his national side in a World Cup warm-up match against Norway, scoring a sumptuous volley to begin his scoring.

There aren’t many more divisive figures in the Arsenal side right now than Giroud, but if he can continue pulling off these feats on a more regular basis then he’ll no doubt bring round a few more of his doubters.
