When Arsene Wenger leads his team out at Stamford Bridge this weekend, it will mark his 1,000th game in charge of Arsenal.

Being four points behind Chelsea and a having a game in hand, the match itself can be considered a title defining game as the Premier League season slowly winds down.

Eighteen years from his first match in charge, the video below shows how much sitting at the helm of the club has taken a toll on the Frenchman.

Wenger started back in 1996 winning three Premier League titles in the space of four years between the 1997-98 and 2003-04 season.

This season The Gunners are hoping to revisit their golden years as they are still title contenders for the Premier League. Surely beating Chelsea and ending Jose Mourinho’s unbeaten home run on Wenger’s 1,000th game will be an unforgettable moment…
