Arsenal are interested in securing a summer deal for Iranian starlet Sardar Azmoun, according to the player himself.
The 19-year-old striker has recently emerged as one of Asian football’s finest talents, and has been performing well in Russia with Rubin Kazan since his switch from homeland side Sepahan last year.
Arsenal are known to been the market for attacking reinforcements ahead of the coming transfer window, and Arsene Wenger is understood to have has scouts scouring Europe for talented additions.
Azmoun is seen as a good option, with Rubin believed to value their talented youngster at just £2m.
The highly-rated star says that interest from the Emirates Stadium is strong, and that he is excited by the prospect of playing for a Premier League team in the not too distant future:
“There already are solid offers coming from both Arsenal and AC Milan.” He is quoted by the Daily Star.
“Both their representatives are about to meet Rubin Kazan management next Thursday.
“I’m really happy for such clubs being interested in signing me, and playing in Premier League would be a dream coming true.
“But now I’m just focused on the remaining part of Russian championship.”
Arsenal fans have been critical of Wenger’s refusal to sign a big name striker after missing out on Liverpool’s Luis Suarez last year.
