Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins says Arsenal have yet to make a move for Swans defender Ashley Williams.
Reports had suggested that Arsene Wenger had opened talks with the player over a summer switch but Jenkins has moved quickly to deny such claims and says the Gunners have yet to make an approach.
Swans goalkeeper Michel Vorm has also been linked with Barcelona, but Jenkins says not one club has made an approach for any of their star players.
“We have had no contact from any club regarding any of our players,” Jenkins said.
“There’s been no contact and no bids, and that goes for everyone including Michel Vorm and Ashley Williams.” (This is South Wales)
Barcelona have been looking for a replacement goalkeeper to Victor Valdez, who is out of contract at the club this summer and has expressed his desire to leave the Camp Nou. Arsene Wenger will reportedly be given £70 million to spend this summer, and will be looking to add all around depth to his squad.
Liverpool have also been linked with Ashley Williams as a potential replacement for Jamie Carragher, who is retiring at the end of the season.
With the future of Martin Skrtel uncertain, Arsenal may face tough competition for his signature from the Reds.
