Arsenal could re-sign Real Sociedad attacker Carlos Vela, with the Mexican ace having admitted that he would like to go back to north London.
The 25-year-old ended a disastrous spell with the Gunners in 2012, and has since thrived in La Liga.
His performances for Sociedad have led to talk that Arsenal may look to get their former player back, with a £3m buy-back clause having been made a part of the deal that took Vela to Spain.
Yet much speculation indicated that the player himself would not be so keen on the switch after failing to establish himself at the Emirates Stadium.
However the pacey forward says that he would actually consider moving back Arsenal:
“I’m open to the idea of going back to Arsenal,’ he is quoted by The Metro.
“Arsenal could buy me back for £3million – a million more than Real Sociedad paid for me. I like being where I am for the moment, but I think I’m ready to try other things.
“I’m more mature, I’ve changed my way of thinking and I’m open to anything.”
Arsene Wenger may well look seriously at bringing Vela back this summer, with the versatile front-man having been a major success in recent seasons.
He played a key role in getting Sociedad into the Champions League with his displays last term and has netted 19 goals in 2013/14.
