Arsenal, by claiming that he is not thinking about his future.
The Mexican left the Gunners last summer, after starting just 21 games in four years for the Premier League side.
Since his arrival in La Liga the 23-year-old has been impressive, notching 11 goals in 24 first-team appearances.
This has led to speculation that the North Londoners are keen to bring him back to the Emirates Stadium, particularly as a number of their current attacking options are currently failing to make the desired impact.
Arsenal reportedly inserted a buy back clause into the deal which took him to Spain, and are tempted to exercise this option.
But, Vela is insistent that he is happy at Real Sociedad and that he will not even think about his future until the end of the season:
“I’m calm and I’m not thinking about what will happen next season.” He is quoted by talkSPORT via Esta.
“If I worry it will be in June or July, and then I can speak about it. For now I’m just thinking of Real. We must keep the good run going.”
Arsenal signed Vela from Guadalajara in 2002, but he spent much of his time as Gunners player out on loan with Salamanca, Osasuna, West Brom and Real Sociedad.
