David Ospina has already been targeted by Arsene Wenger and with the potential he has, he could one day be a top class goalkeeper. He produced some outstanding performances for Nice in the French Ligue 1 as well as for his national squad with Colombia. At 25-years-old, the player would be a great understudy to current Arsenal number one Wojciech Szczesny.
He made a total of 32 appearances in all competitions in the previous campaign, conceding only 27 goals and managing 15 clean sheets. If Ospina doesn’t mind playing second to Szczesny, a move could very well be in place. With a current price tag of about £4.4 million, if Wenger cannot complete the deal before the World Cup, he may see a huge rise in his value should he produce some outstanding performances.
