The French midfielder has been in excellent form for the Saints this term, cementing a reputation as one of the Premier League’s best holding players.
His impressive displays have led to talk of a big transfer when the season ends, with Arsenal one name to have been aligned with the 24-year-old.
Talking to RTL about the rumours, Schneiderlin refused to rule out the possibility of linking up with his compatriot Arsene Wenger at Arsenal:
“Arsenal? I have three year contract, then it will not be easy.
“It is also my dream to one day play in a great club, so why not.”
Schneiderlin has been touted as a possible long-term replacement for ageing Gunners midfielder Mikel Arteta.
Away from transfer speculation, the Southampton ace has been linked with a shock call-up to the England team.
Although born in France, Schneiderlin has not been recognised by Les Bleus yet, and is eligible to represent the Three Lions due to residency rules.
It is thought that the FA are exploring the possibility.
