Stefan Kiessling

Bayer Leverkusen striker Stefan Kiessling

The German striker makes a very interesting case as he was the Bundesliga’s top scorer last season with 25 goals, leaving Robert Lewandowski one goal behind. This achievement sent Bayer Leverkusen on third place, just one point behind Borussia Dortmund, and straight to the Champions League Group Stage.

During his seven-year tenure, the 29-year-old has amassed 236 appearances for Leverkusen and has scored 107 goals; an indication of a consistent goal scorer.

Kiessling is a striker with excellent positioning who is very capable of working with the wingers. Standing on 1.91 m, the German could prove to be of great use when it comes to free kicks and corner kicks just like his fellow countryman Per Mertesacker.
