Even with today’s win against Hull, Arsenal are officially out of the race for the Premier League title. Given the period of time they led the way earlier in the season, the disappointment among Gunners fans is understandable, with this term having looked so promising. However, there are some reasons for optimism at the Emirates Stadium, with next season presenting another shot at the big one. Here are three reasons we think Arsenal will be in the title hunt next season:

Mesut Ozil will have adapted

The German playmaker was hailed as the man to change things at Arsenal this season, but he has failed to justify the £40m+ it took to get him to the club from Real Madrid. However today on his return to the starting XI he was impressive, and showed signs that he is adapting to the Premier League.

Aaron Ramsey is maturing well

The Welshman has had a turbulent career, but this season he has truly blossomed. Another goal against Hull will do wonders for his confidence, which could set him up well for next season.

Cup win will bring confidence

Going by today’s result Arsenal should have no problem beating Hull in the upcoming FA Cup final. Ending nine years without silverware could lift the weight off of the Gunners players’ and bring a feeling of belief.
