The Premier League is back this weekend with a series of incredibly enticing fixtures - not least including the North West Derby, Chelsea vs. Leicester City and Everton's visit to Manchester City.

They all look set to be fairly close encounters but most are expecting an in-form Arsenal side, who've won their last five games across all competitions, to swiftly swat away a Swansea City team spared from the relegation zone on goal difference alone - especially in the comfort of the Emirates Stadium.

But Football FanCast aren't quite so convinced; in fact, we're predicting a shock Swansea upset when they travel to north London on Saturday, putting a huge dent in Arsene Wenger's title ambitions. Here's three reasons why.

Swansea aren't as bad as their form suggests

Swansea City v Liverpool - Premier League

No doubt, the Welsh side have endured a difficult start to the season, but that can be explained by their horrendous run of fixtures - already facing reigning champions Leicester, title favourites City and Jurgen Klopp's rip-roaring Liverpool in the Premier League.

Those three games have produced an aggregate scoreline of 7-3 and it's not as if Swansea have been completely out of the match on any of those occasions - in fact, quite the opposite. They opened the scoring against the Reds and equalised against the Citizens and actually finished up the latter encounter with more shots on target.

Overall, the Swans have got a little unlucky against the Premier League's heavyweights, so the rules of probability suggest they'll get a result their performances deserve against Arsenal if they continue to do the right things.

Head-to-Head record

Perhaps due to their shared devotion to possession-based attacking football, Swansea have proved a bit of a bogey team for the Gunners since their Premier League ascension at the start of the 2011/12 campaign. Indeed, the Liberty Stadium outfit actually boast a 50% win rate against Arsenal in the Premier League, their best return against a top four regular by quite some distance - the next being a 30% win rate against Manchester United.

Some might explain that away as simply a statistical anomaly but 11 matches is a wide enough sample; clearly there's a systematic element to this record - which includes three Swansea wins and one draw from their last six encounters as shown above (courtesy of Whoscored).

The New Manager Feel-Good Factor

Swansea City - Bob Bradley Press Conference

Despite Swansea's performances being far from disgraceful, the club's new American owners decided to part with manager Francesco Guidolin earlier this month, paving the way for former Team USA manager Bob Bradley to take his place in the Liberty Stadium hotseat.

Not everybody is sold on the 58-year-old, who wasn't exactly uprooting trees at Le Havre and has never worked in the Premier League before, but new managerial appointments - whether wise or ill-fated - are often accompanied by an early win as the players revel in the change in atmosphere. We've seen it on too many occasions to mention throughout the Premier League era and Arsenal may just be unlucky enough to find themselves on the receiving end of a feel-good win for the Welsh outfit.
