Sanogo not good enough

Wenger may feel that signing another striker in light of Giroud’s injury would be rash but the plain fact is Arsenal are not going to win the league with Yaya Sanogo up front. The striker spurned several good one-on-one chances and his frustration was evident before his substation put him out of his misery.

Leicester look to have enough

In Leicester’s three games so far they have faced Everton, Chelsea and Arsenal. Clubs rarely face such difficult starts and yet the Foxes have come out with credit from all three games. Ulloa consistently threatened up front and they’ve a strong right side in Mahrez and De Laet. It’s early days but the signs are promising for Leicester.

Arsenal have missed a trick

Chelsea signed Remy on the same day that Sanogo proved he’s not good enough to lead Arsenal’s forward line. With none of Sanchez, Podolski, Walcott or Campbell capable of playing as No. 9, it’s hard not to feel that Wenger has again missed a trick.
