Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger celebrated the performances of Santi Cazorla, Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud, following his side’s Premier League victory over West Ham.

The trio all found the back of the net during the Gunners’ 5-1 rout, with Giroud notching two and Podolski and Cazorla providing multiple assists.

Wenger’s transfer dealings have been criticised recently, but the trio who all arrived ahead of the current season earned special praise from the Frenchman:

"They are doing better and better. Podolski had a great goal and some great assists.” He told Sky Sports.

"Giroud is getting better and of course Cazorla, we know about him."

With scores level at half-time Arsenal appeared to be heading for another frustrating performance.

But, four goals in just over ten second-half minutes quickly turned the tie, delighting Wenger:

"I believe overall we played very well for 90 minutes. In the space of 10 minutes we killed the game.

"If you look at the home games we have scored many goals in many games. Sometimes we've been stuttering but tonight it went well and we scored some great goals."

Jack Collison opened the scoring for the Hammers, before Podolski equalised on the 22 minute mark.

Olivier Giroud put the home side ahead shortly after half-time, with Cazorla and Theo Walcott finding the net before the French striker added his second of the game.
