Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that he is planning to sign Thierry Henry on loan and two other players this January.

The Frenchman has seen his side slip down the Premier League recently, after suffering a string of disappointing results.

This has opened him up to a barrage of criticism from fans of the club, who have become increasingly frustrated by a number of star names leaving over the past few seasons.

Robin van Persie departed for Manchester United during the last window, whilst Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri have also moved in recent times.

The Gunners have secured a big money sponsorship deal with Fly Emirates and Wenger has revealed that he will be able to resign Henry and strengthen his squad:

“This winter we will work very hard because we have some funds available. It could happen that we buy two players, but I cannot reveal the names.” He told Bein Sport.

“A loan (for Henry) is still a possibility, but we will still try to strengthen for the long term.

He also lavished praise on Henry, who could spend his third spell at the club

“Henry is the talent that you dream to have.

“He has fantastic physique, fantastic technique, a fantastic brain, all built together in one man.

“At the start he was not confident enough but he has gone on to show what a great player he is.”
