The 19-year-old defender has recently established himself as a key member of the Toffees’ first-team, with Roberto Martinez having turned to him in the absence of the injured Phil Jagielka.
Despite his young age Stones has impressed, and has played a big part in Everton’s rise into the top four.
This has alerted Arsenal and Chelsea, with both clubs keen to lure the youngster away from Goodison Park at the end of the season.
The Gunners were linked with the teenager when he was at Barnsley, but failed to move for him before he joined Everton in 2013.
Chelsea have now also entered the race, with Jose Mourinho looking to build a team capable of challenging for honours both in the present and the future.
Stones is relatively new to the top end of English football, but he is already being linked with a shock call-up to represent the Three Lions at the World Cup.
Roy Hodgson is rumoured to be an admirer of the versatile defender, who can operate both at right-back or in a central role.
