Chelsea have their eyes on Paris Saint-Germain winger Ezequiel Lavezzi, Daily Mail reports.
The Argentine had representatives in London earlier this month to check up on the Blues’ interest in the former Napoli man.
It is a known fact that Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is looking for forwards this summer, with Atletico Madrid’s Diego Costa and Real Madrid star Karim Benzema previously mentioned.
But it is Lavezzi that has emerged as their prime candidate, who has been dazzling fans during his Napoli days before his move to Paris back in the summer of 2012.
The 28-year-old’s PSG team-mate, Edinson Cavani, has also garnered interest from the Blues. But it seems as if Manchester United are leading the race to sign the Uruguayan.
Lavezzi currently has 11 goals in 36 appearances for the Parisan outfit and would be a fine edition to Chelsea’s new-look strike force.
