Liverpool’s hopes of landing Chelsea full-back Ryan Bertrand have been dealt a blow, with the Blues having been less than impressed by Victor Moses’ progress during his loan spell at Anfield, according to reports from The Mirror.
The Nigerian winger joined the Merseyside club on a season-long basis over the summer in a bid to get his career back on track and play regularly after slipping down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.
After initially impressing with the Reds, Moses has since suffered a dip in form and is now a peripheral figure at the club due to the impressive Raheem Sterling and Philippe Coutinho.
Bertrand is also a target for Liverpool, with Brendan Rodgers keen to lure the left-back away from London to help ease his defensive concerns.
However, Chelsea are so frustrated at Moses’ situation that they look set to block any potential move.
The 24-year-old is rumoured to be available for a move in the coming weeks, with both Ashley Cole and Cesar Azpilicueta ahead of his in Jose Mourinho’s pecking order.
Fulham and Southampton have both been linked with the man once dubbed the ‘new Ashley Cole’ and could mount moves before the deadline passes.
