The 32-year-old stopped has sat out the Blues’ two opening Premier League games of the season, with Thibaut Courtois having been named as Jose Mourinho’s No. 1 following his return to the club.
The Belgian is set to keep his role as the Londoners attempt to ensure that he stays at the club, which means Cech’s 10-year run between the sticks at Stamford Bridge is all but over.
With Chelsea needing to cut one foreign player from the Premier League squad and two from their Champions League selection, the Czech Republic star is likely to make way.
But Mourinho only wants to send Cech away on loan, so he can be recalled in the event that Courtois suffers a serious injury.
Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco are both keen on the experienced stopper, and may look to make moves before the transfer window closes next week.
Chelsea will rely on Mark Schwarzer, 42, to be the main back-up man if Cech leaves.
