Chelsea striker Demba Ba is set to leave Stamford Bridge in the summer, and has admitted he would be keen on a switch to Italy, according to the Metro.
The Senegal international has found first team opportunities limited at Stamford Bridge this season, starting just three matches in all competitions under Jose Mourinho.
And the 28-year-old is looking for a move away this summer, from the club he joined less than 18 months ago.
‘I hope we can find the best option possible,’ he said.
‘I’d like to stay in England. I like other leagues, too. I’d like to try the Italian league.
‘Nothing’s been confirmed but there are a few teams in Italy who play very good football.’
Ba was linked with a loan move last summer, but a late switch to Arsenal fell through when Chelsea opted to send Romelu Lukaku to Everton for the season.
Newcastle have been linked with a move for their former striker, as have West Ham United.
It seems Ba’s Chelsea days are certainly numbered, with the Blues making no secret of their desire to bring in a world class centre forward in the summer.
