Chelsea midfielder Ramires believes that his side can end Manchester City’s 100% home record.

The Sky Blues currently top the Premier League, with their excellent form at the Etihad Stadium having been a key part of their phenomenal opening half of the season.

But Chelsea have also in excellent shape of late, and will travel to Manchester on Monday night in buoyant mood after moving clear of the likes of Liverpool and Everton to put themselves firmly in the title race.

Ramires – who has been a key player for Jose Mourinho’s side – believes that the Blues can take great confidence from their 2-1 win over City at Stamford Bridge earlier this season and end their rivals’ unbeatable home record:

“We all know that it’s going to be a difficult game but we beat them at home, even if that was also a tough match,” he is quoted by Sky Sports.

“We hope we can win on Monday because if we want to win the title it will be very important.

“Despite the fact it will be difficult, a victory there would be very sweet and we are going to give our very best.”

Chelsea will enter the tie on the back of an impressive January transfer window in which they nabbed Namanja Matic, Mohamed Salah and Kurt Zouma – although the latter will not join them until the end of the season.
