Chelsea midfielder Oriol Romeu has admitted that he is unsure of whether or not he has a future in West London.
The Spaniard is currently on a season-long loan at Valencia, where he has been in impressive form.
His consistent displays have led to talk of a return to the Blues in the summer, with Jose Mourinho said to be keen to give young players a chance at Stamford Bridge.
However, with the January arrival of Namanja Matic and the presence of a number of other stars at the club, Romeu’s chances of making an impact appear to be slim.
As a result, the 22-year-old says that he does not know if he will be returning to Chelsea or not.
“I have no idea [what will happen in the summer]. I need to decide at the end of the season. Many things can happen,” Romeu told the London Evening Standard.
“We will sit down and decide what is best for me to do.
“They are watching me and they are always telling me things. They are looking after me and that’s good.
“You never know what can happen, but they are looking after me.”
Romeu signed for Chelsea from Barcelona in 2011, and enjoyed a bright start to life at the club.
However, with first-team chances limited he left on loan at the start of the season to gain experience.
