Chelsea have signed Barcelona’s Cesc Fabregas for a reported £27m, it has been confirmed.
The Spaniard has returned to London after four years since his move from Arsenal to the Catalan giants.
And Jose Mourinho’s Blues have tempted Fabregas back to the Premier League after Arsenal decided against taking up the first refusal clause they had in his Nou Camp contract.
The 27-year-old has joined the club on a five-year deal and admits that he has unfinished business in the Premier League and that he can’t wait to get going with his new team mates.
He told Chelsea’s official site: “I do feel that I have unfinished business in the Premier League and now is the right time to return.
“I considered all the offers very carefully and I firmly believe that Chelsea is the best choice. They match my footballing ambition with their hunger and desire to win trophies.
“They have an amazing squad of players and an incredible manager. I am fully committed to this team and I can’t wait to start playing.”
Fabregas has been handed the No.4 shirt at Stamford Bridge.
