Chelsea defender David Luiz

Chelsea defender David Luiz has admitted an interest in PSG, according to the Metro.

The 26-year-old has asked his Brazilian teammates about the French club, as he is linked with a move away from the Premier League.

Luiz, who is in Brazil for the Confederations Cup, said: “I’m talking a lot about PSG and its project with Brazilian players.”

“The club made a good job in Ligue 1, and there have a very good players like Lucas Moura, Thiago Motta, Maxwell, Thiago Silva. And I don’t speak about it with others, just Brazilians.”

The defender’s future at Stamford Bridge is in doubt this summer, with reports suggesting new manager Jose Mourinho is not a fan of Luiz’s erratic style towards defending. The Portuguese manager prefers his defence to be solid and reliable, and is concerned by the 26-year-old’s attacking mindset.

The Chelsea star had been linked with a move to Barcelona, but it seems that Ligue 1 champions PSG have caught the Brazilian’s eye. Blues supporters will be concerned by his comments, after the defender became a fans favourite at Stamford Bridge.

Luiz started for Brazil in their 3-0 win over Japan in the opening match of the Confederations Cup against Japan, and is expected to feature in the nation’s next match against Mexico this evening.

Should Luiz leave Chelsea this summer? Would he do well at PSG?
