The Blues sealed a swoop for the 18-year-old Burkina Faso midfielder recently, and are now keen to complement his arrival with moves for Inter Milan and Benfica pair Pedro Delgado and Lazar Markovic.
The pair – who are 16 and 19 respectively – are two of Europe’s top emerging talents, and illustrate the sort of potential that Jose Mourinho is looking to add to his squad in his second reign as Chelsea boss.
Markovic is rumoured to be the Londoners’ prime target, with the winger having been impressive for Benfica since his arrival at the club.
He is already a full Serbian international and is thought of as one of the finest players in Portuguese football.
Chelsea were linked with a move for his signature prior to his switch to the Lisbon giants and have continued to monitor his development.
Delgado is also on the Stamford Bridge outfit’s radar.
The 16-year-old only arrived at Inter over the summer, but is already earning rave reviews for his abilities and potential.
The attacking midfielder is expected to graduate to the San Siro side’s first-team in the not too distant future.
