Roman Abramovich is ready to launch into a mammoth spending spree this January in an attempt to win back Chelsea fans, with Falcao, Edison Cavani and James Rodriguez all said to be on his wishlist, according to The Evening Standard.

The Russian Billionaire has once again upset supporters at Stamford Bridge after the dismissal of Champions League winning manager Roberto Di Matteo. The club were swift in announcing a replacement with former Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez being named as coach on an interim basis. The appointment of the Spaniard has been met with criticism by fans and it is thought that Abramovich is willing to bring in a host of world stars this winter in order to recompense the Chelsea faithful.

Atletico Madrid has a £44m buy out clause in Falcao's contract and he is thought to be the number one target for the Blues owner.

Meanwhile, Porto's James Rodriguez is available for £36m and Edison Cavani can leave Napoli for £48m. While it is thought that Fernando Torres will remain in the team, as Abramovich looks for some return on the astronomical fee he spent on the Spanish striker, it is thought that the two Columbians and the one Uruguayan target will be brought in an attempt to win the Premier League, or retain the Champions League.
