Daily Mail.

The Spain international is yet to return to his previous best that saw him net 65 goals in 102 appearances for Liverpool in the Premier League before his £50million move to Stamford Bridge in January 2011. In nearly two years at the London club, Torres has just 13 league goals to his name.

Gullit has now openly criticised the Chelsea striker, and believes the club should look elsewhere to find a more prolific first-team striker.

“What he did in the past with Atletico, and Liverpool especially, was unbelievable,” said the former Dutch international. “For some reason he can’t do it at Chelsea, it’s a mystery to me.

“I said at the beginning of the season that Chelsea might need another striker but obviously they wanted to give Torres a chance. If he has taken it, I don’t know.

The former Newcastle and Feyenoord head coach believes strike sensation Ramodel Falcao is the perfect candidate to replace the mis-firing Spaniard.

“If he can’t still do it at Chelsea, then they are going to have to look somewhere else. I think Falcao is a very good striker.”
The Columbian international has scored 13 times this season, including a hat-trick against the Blues in the European Super Cup, but comes with a hefty £48million price-tag.

Manchester City and Real Madrid are also in the race for the player’s signature, but Chelsea have a unique opportunity to broker a deal that would re-unite Torres with his beloved Atletico Madrid in a swap for the sharpshooting Falcao.

I also said that keeping Torres might continue spoiling his career as a striker. He will probably do it better somewhere else for he’s been trying his very best but things do not turn out as expected. Now he even does better in the mid-field. For his own good, please set him free.

Yes I agree with Monica, I have been saying this times without numbers that Torres needs to play as a winger and not a striker. Yes he has lost form and the boldness is no longer there, so he should leave but which club can afford his stupid wages now?

There actually are if you look hard engouh. It’s like any genre of music. You need to work to find the good stuff. Look up modern hymn writers and adaptations, Indelible Grace, for example. I’d look to artists who are Christians but not Christian Artists there’s great stuff there too. David Bazan’s older stuff, when he was still sympathetic to the Faith, Sufjan Steven’s Seven Swans, album is another great example. Good luck on your search!
