Chelsea winger Marko Marin has revealed that he is keen to make his loan move to Sevilla a permanent one at the end of the season.

The 24-year-old German ace joined the La Liga side for the current campaign after enduring a difficult spell in West London.

Despite having been hailed as one of the Bundeslga’s top talents while t Werder Bremen, first-team opportunities in West London were hard to come by for the wide-man.

However, he has been playing regularly in Spain this term, helping Sevilla move into contention for a Champions League spot, despite them having lost important players such as Alvaro Negredo and Jesus Navas over the summer.

Marin says that, at the moment, he may return to Chelsea at the end of the campaign, but that he would like to stay at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan stadium:

“As things stand now, I am supposed to (go back), but I’ve had so many enquiries,” he is quoted by The Express.

“Sevilla want me to stay, but that’s not a decision only they can make. I would like to stay too because I really like it here, but in the end, it’s up to Chelsea what happens.

“We are within touching distance of Champions League qualification and that is our goal. We’ve got the quality for it.”
