Marko Marin says that Chelsea are keen to bring him back to London when his loan spell at Sevilla ends in a few months’ time.
The Germany international joined the La Liga side last year in search of regular action and has played a key role in his adopted side’s run to the Europa League final.
His impressive displays have led to much talk that Sevilla are keen to make his stay a permanent one this summer, with the winger believed to have little future at Stamford Bridge.
But Marin, 25, has revealed that Chelsea have indicated to him that they want him back for next season:
“Nothing has been decided yet.” He is quoted by the Daily Star.
“We will sit down and discuss things at the end of the season.
“Sevilla would like to keep me here, but there are also signals from England that they (Chelsea) want me to return.”
Marin signed for Chelsea from Werder Bremen in 2012 but struggled for game time in his debut season at the club.
He still has three years to run on his current deal, and Jose Mourinho may be ready to hand him a fresh chance as he plots to boost his side’s inventiveness in the final third next term.
