Chelsea top priority to succeed Rafa Benitez at Stamford Bridge for the next season.
Although the 45 year-old seems to be the first choice, the club is considering Everton David Moyes and Malaga’s Manuel Pellegrini as alternative choices if the German discards Chelsea as a future option, The Telegraph reports.
Klopp, who snubbed Chelsea’s first attempt last season by extending his contract until 2016, seems to have put his hopes in replacing Joachim Löw as manager of the German national team.
The German coach has set himself as one of the most desired mangers in Europe due to Borussia Dortmund’s dominance in the Bundesliga and the attractive attacking style of playing the squad delivers.
Among other clubs, rumours have placed Klopp at Real Madrid’s bench, in a three-way move that would set Mourinho back to Chelsea, although this option remains unlikely as the German has publicly declined Real’s hypothetical interest: “Maybe Real Madrid fans want a German coach again, but unfortunately I don’t have time”, Klopp said to German tabloid Bild.
