Chelsea new boy Diego Costa believes that his side are strong enough to battle for “every trophy available” to them in 2014/15.

The Spain international recently completed his long-awaited move to Stamford Bridge from Atletico Madrid, costing the Londoners over £30m.

After slamming 36 goals for the Rojiblancos last term, Costa has been dubbed as the striker Jose Mourinho has been calling for for some time after growing frustrated with Fernando Torres, Demba Ba and Samuel Eto’o last season.

With big money having been invested to get Cesc Fabregas and Filipe Luis to the club as well, there is talk that the Blues will be competing for big honours next term, and Costa himself believes that his new team can battle for the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and Capital One Cup:

“I’d say to the fans that you need to be confident that I personally will fight for this club to make sure we are in contention to win as many trophies as possible,” he is quoted by the London Evening Standard.

“I’m part of a great group here of players and we will do everything we can to give the fans what they want – and that’s titles.”

“We have an outstanding squad and if we can all stick together, pull in the same direction and remain focused I don’t see any reason why we shouldn’t be going to the final stages and fighting for every trophy available.”
